A common question we hear around the office – Can any branch of the military apply for a VA loan? Simply put – YES! VA loans are a program for any veterans who serve currently, or have served in the past, for any division of the Armed Forces. It’s not something privy just to the Army, Navy or Air Force. Anyone who’s served our country and enlisted may be eligible for a VA Loan.
VA Loan Eligibility
You may be eligible for a VA loan if you have served in any of these Armed Forces divisions:
- U.S. Army

- U.S. Marine Corps

- National Guard
- Public Health Service
- Reserve units (IE Army Reserves)
Also – if you are a surviving spouse, you may also have benefits.
